I have had Urxvt on package ignore for a while since a recent update seemed to have broken all perl extensions and keysyms. Which was fine for a time, but perl has now updated and so, urxvt can no longer find the right lib. Clearly I have to update Urxvt to resolve this, which means perl extensions and keysyms no longer work. I dont think downgrading perl is ideal as other things depend on it. So I was wondering if anyone has had this issue with urxvt recently? I cant seem to find any information anywhere suggesting a fix.
Urxvt 9.26 is installed and seems to be latest, along with updating urxvt-terminfo, and reinstalling urxvt-perls, etc.
I dont see any errors in any logs anywhere or if i run urxvt from another terminal. I am a bit stumped.
Let me know if there are any useful logs I can post, however I dont see anything about urxvt in any of the typical logging places.

Specify "all perl extensions and keysyms".

Specify "all perl extensions and keysyms".
Basically if .Xresources had a urxvt keysym line on it, it was ignored and no input would occur.
Turns out though, that this problem is solved. At some point recently I think Urxvt became more strict in how .Xresources settings were written.
Before this was fine, but now its not
URxvt*keysym.M-<whatever>:However this is fine
URxvt.keysym.M-<whatever>:So it was a matter of updating an admittedly very old .Xresources file and possibly fixing improperly formed settings strings
