[SOLVED] Lightdm does not remember last used session per user

Hi, on a freshly installed Arch installation I have two users, one of which uses i3, the other xfce. Lightdm seems to ignore the user-specific session - it uses the last session any user chose as default for both of them.
In my /etc/lightdm/lightdm.conf I tried to comment user-session variable and also tried to use user-session=default. Didn't work. The .dmrc files in the users' home directories show correct sessions.

I can't find any solution on the internet. Anyone?

I've figured it out. It turns out the materia gtk theme (for lightdm) was to blame. Adwaita also doesn't respect the .dmrc setting. I changed the lightdm theme to arc and it works as expected.
