Hi,
I have an USB Bluetooth dongle that is connected to two my linux machines through physical USB switch (i.e. in other words, I plug the same dongle in two computers).
I also have a Bluetooth headphones that I'd like to use with both computers.
The problem is that I cannot make my headphones to remember the pairing in both configurations:
1. I pair my headphones with the bluetooth dongle in computer A, it works fine.
2. Then plug the same dongle in computer B and pair, it works too.
3. But after that if I try to connect to computer A again, it fails to connect. I need to "forget" the device and re-pair it again.
With two separate bluetooth dongles in two computers, that works fine.
My guess is that the dongle has some kind of identifier (MAC address?) that my headphones remember, and also Linux has some kind of key that headphones remember. When it tries to connect to a different computer through the same bluetooth device, something doesn't match and it refuses to connect and I have to re-pair.
Could anyone suggest what would be the easiest way to fix that?
Thanks!

Found the solution myself.
In the file
/var/lib/00:1B:CD:F0:D4:12/14:3F:A6:42:10:53/info
(in your case mac addresses of bluetooth host and headphones will be different)
copy the key in the LinkKey section
[LinkKey]
Key=7FBDA5649461C5A69417001F4F310169
and type that value into the same file on another machine.
