I use Firefox as my default browser.
I also use Firejail for added security. It use to be that the "combo" would work just fine, however some time back it broke for me.
I have looked in Google, Firefox forums and the Arch wiki, of course but I have not been able to figure a way out of the problem.
I've researched the issue for some time now but I cannot make Firefox + Firejail play nice.
At some point in time I added the following line to my firefox.profile ( I found it somewhere in the Web ):
?BROWSER_ALLOW_DRM: ignore noexec ${HOME}but it did not fix anything, although, it DID seem promising ![]()
Finally I decided that perhaps I would have better luck if I ask in the forums.
If you have a similar combo, browser + firejail running together and have no issues accessing Netflix I would appreciate if
you point me in the right direction to fix the problem.
Thanks,
R.
p.s The message that Firefox throws when trying to access Netflix is: The WideVineCdm plugin has crashed.

You might have to enable it globally in firejail.conf as well.
https://github.com/netblue30/firejail/b … config#L18
https://man.archlinux.org/man/community … #Scripting
The conditionals BROWSER_DISABLE_U2F and BROWSER_ALLOW_DRM can be enabled or disabled globally in Firejail's configuration file.

@progandy,
Hi. Enabling the flag (actually, un-commentating and setting the flag to yes) did work.
Fantastic!!
I have a feeling that this solution may brake overtime because firejail.conf being a global file me be overwritten
by future updates, but it works like a charm and I'm happy to use it.
Appreciate your help buddy.

It won't be overwritten, it is marked as a config file in the package. You'll have to merge .pacnew files now. https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/Pacman … nd_Pacsave
