[SOLVED] pijul: Package appeared in Community-Testing, breaking AUR pk

I tried pushing a new version of the pijul package to the AUR today, receiving the error message:

remote: error: package already provided by [community-testing]: pijul
remote: error: hook declined to update refs/heads/master

And, sure enough, there it is. Now my question: If I can‘t push updates to the AUR package, what would be the usual way of dealing with the defunct AUR package?

Should I request deletion?

Posting a new package to community-testing is unconventional, I guess it was done because of the "alpha". I suggest you bring it up on aur-general - only a small minority of TU/staff read this forum.
