Error starting `pulseaudio`

I don't have any problem with sound on my computer but I realized that `pulseaudio` is not starting correctly.

$ pulseaudio -vvv
[...]
E: [pulseaudio] main.c: No sink found by this name or index.
E: [pulseaudio] main.c: Failed to initialize daemon due to errors while executing startup commands. Source of commands: /etc/pulse/default.pa
[...]

The error seems to be caused by the line

set-sink-port alsa_output.pci-0000_00_14.2.analog-stereo analog-output-lineout

in my `/etc/pulse/default.pa`.

How do I know what to write there to make `pulseaudio` happy?

I read a couple of other posts about `pulseaudio`-related problems, but nothing helped me to resolve my issue.

Re: Error starting `pulseaudio`

Such a line needs to be at the end of the file (... at the very least after udev-detect but you can only gain things by running this as late as possible). Are you absolutely certain that's the correct identifier?

In any case, these kind of custom manipulations that depend on how a specific device is detected are best prepended with a .nofail so that they are not considered critical for pulse's startup to continue, so make that a

.nofail
set-sink-port alsa_output.pci-0000_00_14.2.analog-stereo analog-output-lineout

at the end of the file.
