Hello, I'm dual booting Arch Linux with Windows 10. And I am not able to connect my Bluetooth headphones or Bluetooth speaker in Arch Linux. I followed everything in Archwiki Bluetooth page and Bluetooth headset page with all the solutions mentioned in troubleshooting page. My headphones would connect for a second and then would disconnect. Same with the speakers.
Then I followed the dual boot pairing guide and now the bluez daemon fails as soon as connection is established.
Like in the beginning.

Should I try switching to pipewire and see if that makes any difference.
Thanks in advance.

Switched from pulseaudio to pipewire. Still the same results with bluetooth.service failing as soon as I connect a device. Pipewire working perfectly though.

If you search the boards a bit, there's a known issue with bluez 5.59 and A2DP profiles either downgrade that to 5.58 or upgrade to bluez-git, remove /var/lib/bluetooth and then try to re-pair your device.

Thank you Thank you Thank you so much. I've been at this for two days and nothing worked. Installing bluez-git and removing /var/lib/bluetooth worked. Thank you for the quick reply.

BTW this is the status of bluetooth service when using bluez-git.

Well it's probably that your device doesn't support the HSP profile (which is likely the reason bluez outright crashed as I'd fall back to HSP when A2DP wasn't available) which is something that can be normal, is this just a headphone/speaker or is it expected to support a microphone as well?

This is a bluetooth headphone with inbuilt microphone.
This is the status when using bluetooth speaker
