Hi all. There is a laptop i7 7700hq, gtx 1070.
Intel built-in NO! After installing drivers, any (390xx or newer) is not dimmable. From the word at all. The fn buttons work, the slider level is changed.
What was done: Old firewood 390xx + kernel commands in the hornbeam:
GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX = “nvidia.NVreg_EnableBacklightHandler = 1 acpi_backlight = vendor”
editing the nvidia file in xorg.conf.d: Option “RegistryDwords” “EnableBrightnessControl = 1”
Everything works as it should.
If you install the latest Nvidia drivers, the brightness is full. And nothing changes.
Ls / sys / class / backlight / nvidia_0 output in "working" state with 390xx

The first time I encountered such a problem. People, help))
Since 390xx is already ancient, and the vulkan does not want to work on it at all. How to get the last drivers to adjust brightness?

I solved this problem. https://forums.developer.nvidia.com/t/l … 2/175585/8
Just downgrading nvidia driver on 460.xx
Brightness control also does not work on the latest 470xx drivers.
The branch is silent on this issue. NVIDIA! What a disgrace?
