Persistent mouse settings

Hello, new to arch. Read through the wiki but couldn't find what I was looking for (probably didn't look for the right topic knowing me) so i figure i would ask the experts. but, here's what im trying to do:

Basically, i've installed arch with just i3, so i'm having to find manual ways of changing settings that usually have a gui in xfce, etc.

So, i'm trying to reverse the scroll direction for the touchpad on my notebook mouse and enable tapping. I found a way to change it but it didn't hold after a reboot. Anyone tell me how to do this? Or point me in the right direction? Or know of a gui application that can accomplish this quickly? (i know, bad question for this forum) Thanks in advance for the help. Loving arch. Learned so much just by setting it up. Can't wait to learn more.
