After upgrading (it had been a while since the last upgrade, I must admit; probably about a month), I encountered a problem with Cinnamon.
After logging in, I'm on workspace 1. I start Firefox.
I switch to workspace 2. The Firefox icon is still on the taskbar even though the window is not visible on the workspace.
If I launch Terminal on workspace 1, and then close Firefox, the behavior will shift to the terminal window. It seems like every workspace now has an icon from workspace 1...but just one at any time.
Hopefully I've explained this well; if not feel free to ask me to try again. Anyway, it's super annoying. Any ideas how to fix it?

FWIW this turned out to be already fixed in the window list applet. https://github.com/linuxmint/cinnamon/issues/10209
