No sound after unsuccessful hibernation

When I try to hibernate my laptop, sometimes it is unsuccessful, I get back the GUI, but there is no sound after that. I always have to restart the system to get sound back.
Is there any command or script to reset or restart the sound system, sound card etc?

The one I knew doesn't work:

$sudo alsactl init

Hardware is initialized using a generic method

Problem still exists.
