I've set up my dwm window manager for the most part, but I've been logging in with the shell for the last week. I decided to try some display managers, but I can't get xdm or sddm to work.
Right now, I have sddm installed. When I boot up, sddm runs. But when I enter my password and hit enter nothing happens. So, I decided to open a tty and logged in as root to trouble shoot.
I ran sudo journalctl -b > error.txt
Here is the relevant parts to the issue (skipping over the boot and cutting it short at the point where I logged into tty2.

Jul 15 10:35:57 MoTile systemd[1]: Started Getty on tty2.I also get this somewhat terrifying message that I didn't see until just now as I'm editing this:
Jul 15 10:31:18 MoTile kernel: random: NetworkManager: uninitialized urandom read (48 bytes read)
Jul 15 10:31:18 MoTile kernel: ccp 0000:03:00.2: ccp enabled
Jul 15 10:31:18 MoTile kernel: ccp 0000:03:00.2: psp: unable to access the device: you might be running a broken BIOS.It might be worth noting that I have an issue with startx not always working. I haven't figured out when it works and when it doesn't, but usually if I just type startx again it works that time. So, I really don't know.
Am I missing a step in setting up sddm? I got the same issue with xdm
