Hello,
I am new to arch, this is my first install and I cannot get pulseaudio to work. Based on the fact that I initially seemed to have the same issue as this post, https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=241104 , I followed it to no avail, though my noobness may have contributed to my lack of finding a solution.
The same as the other post, I have a dualboot OS on UEFI and the windows audio works fine.
I also have alsa-utils, alsa-plugins, pulseaudio, pulseaudio-alsa, pulseaudio manager, and pavucontrol installed.
Also should be noted that I tried to use pipewire to no success.
pre-apology: sorry if i used the box syntax stuff wrong I'm new to this forum

Welcome to the boards
Please wrap all the output in code tags rather than quotes, that's the purpose of code tags to handle longer output.
Everything is logically working properly. As you mention a Windows boot, make sure and double check that fast boot is disabled: https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/Dual_b … ibernation it can and does mess with soundcard state that can lead to problems.
Other than that the only other immediate suggestion I have is check whether there's a jack misdetection:
pacmd set-sink-port alsa_output.pci-0000_03_00.6.analog-stereo analog-output-headphonesbut I somewhat doubt that's the case. Hows the audio hooked up? Speakers plugged into the back of the case? Or is this a laptop with built-in speakers?
