Wifi disconnects during video calls

I'm running into this issue when I have video calls on Slack or Microsoft Teams or even web browser, my WiFi disconnects. Video call works fine for about 20 minutes (perhaps even more) and then suddenly disconnects. When I try to do a ping, I see the error

Temporary failure in name resolution.

I'm also using ExpressVPN. I believe that the above error message is caused by the network lock from ExpressVPN which locks internet if it's dropped. So, my guess is that for some reason, during the video call, internet drops and then VPN locks the connection from reestablishing. What I'm trying to figure out is why video calls are causing the internet to disconnect. Audio calls and screen share is working fine.

Some advice on where I can start troubleshooting this is much appreciated. This is almost the only reason (other than having to use Microsoft Word for my resume) that I need to switch to Windows partition which I hate doing after enjoying the goodness of Arch...
