[SOLVED] SDL crashes Xorg

I recently updated my laptop after several months without using it at all and it seems to have developed a problem. A few games that used to work fine now seem to cause Xorg to crash. X seems to die completely and re-start, presenting me with the sddm login prompt.

Games that cause the crash that I've found so far are Hollow Knight, the SDL version of Xonotic (but not the GLX version), and Eduke32, which also used SDL.

I'm guessing that the issue is at least somewhat related to SDL. I found this section in /var/log/Xorg.0.log.old , which looks like it could be relevant:

I'm not sure where else to look for relevant logs that might help identify the problem.

Does anyone have any thoughts, or advice on what else to look at?

Re: [SOLVED] SDL crashes Xorg

Complete xorg log?
In doubt, drop xf86-video-intel.
