I enabled deep sleep (S3) by following the discussion on the topic here: https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=259075
Now, the S3 sleep seems to work fine, but the screen is black and unresponsive, when I try to wake up the computer from suspend/hibernation.
The laptop is a Lenovo Yoga Slim 7 with AMD Ryzen 7 4700U with Radeon Graphics.
I cannot seem to find any working solution to the problem. Does anybody know what I seem to be missing here?

Sounds similar to the problems I have been having with a similar system Lenovo Yoga Slim 7 with AMD Ryzen 7 but with slightly newer architecture 5800U. With the current kernel of writing 5.16 which has some sleep fixed for s0 i also run the following kernel params: idle=nowait amdgpu.backlight=0, seems like since setting idle thing have been much more stable. Both kde and gnome would tend to lockup for me.
EDIT:
Also have amd-ucode installed.
