[SOLVED] Superkey not opening kde plasma app launcher

** I have seen this one but it did not work. ** 
 
I had gnome installed on my pc. Today I uninstalled it and installed plasma. Everything was fine. Superkey was working. Until I reset my keyboard shortcuts to default . 
I tried to set the shortcut to Alt+F1 and install ksuperkey but even pressing Alt+F1 didn't open app launcher.

**SOLUTION**
Setting 'Shortcuts/Plasma/Activate graphical application launcher' to Alt+F1 did nothing as mentioned in this post. Instead setting 'edit panel -> application launcher -> configure -> keyboard shortcuts' to Alt+F1 fixed it.
