no HDMI audio detected

i recently installed arch linux on hardware for the first time and i can't get HDMI audio to work
details:
why i need it:
my speakers have only one input and i have another audio device so i connect them both to my monitor and that to my speakers
how i tried it:
i installed pavucontrol to change my audio profile
problem:
in the configuration tab when i click on profiles there are no HDMI options
additional information:
i am using the iGPU on my 11700K
with every other problem i saw like this there was a HDMI device but i don't have it in aplay -l or anywhere else
