Hibernation fails to work: rebooting resumes from the hibernation

The size of swap is slightly more than the RAM, size of hibernation file is configured to be slightly less, the swap partition.The systemd is present and the mkinitcpio.conf hooks are the following:

HOOKS=(base systemd sd-plymouth autodetect keyboard sd-vconsole modconf block sd-encrypt lvm2 filesystems fsck)

Steps to reproduce:
1. Hibernate with systemctl hibernate
2. Continue form hibernation (some artefacts are present, but that's another problem)
3. Reboot
Result: rebooting continues from hibernation, not from a clean state
