Distorted sound

Hi all,

Since three weeks or so I have been having this crackling sound coming out of the speakers occasionally. My speakers are connected to my 27" Dell Monitor, which is in turn connected to my Lenovo TB3 dock. This is not occurring continuously but every few minutes or so there's a distortion of sound. The things I have tried so far:

1. Switched back from pipewire to pulseaudio and vice versa.
2. Tried both the zen- and lts-kernel.
3. Added

options snd_hda_intel power_save=0

as an option for the kernel module.
4. Uninstalled sof-firmware

This issue does not occur when testing sound output using Ubuntu 21.04, for instance.
I'm running sway on a Lenovo X1 Carbon (gen6).

Any ideas?
