Trash Managment

I am using Arch with i3 as a window manager.  I use Dolphin as a file manager.  It shows me a Trash folder.  When i select it, it just says loading and never stops.  I have looked through the file system and i do not see a trash directory.   I am sending stuff there and have no idea where it is going or how it gets emptied.

not sure if it's the same with i3 and dolphin, but with xfce and thunar, all I have to do is install gvfs to get trash functionality.

The trash directory is probably in ~/.local/share/Trash. See the XDG trash specification for more information.

For future reference, Dolphin uses KIO, but this is a hard dependency on installing Dolphin and should already be installed.

@op did the loading issue get fixed? What fixed it? You should explain that sort of thing, make the solution more clearly and easily accessible if someone else ends up finding this thread in the future looking for a solution to the same problem.
