[SOLVED]System doesn't respond after re-opening laptop lid

Hi!

I recently installed Arch Linux on my laptop (previously had windows 10). Aside from the usual newbie problems that I've been able to solve one by one, by help of documentation and google, I have one problem that seems to not be very common. When re-opening my laptop lid, the screen turns on, but is still black. By this I mean, it's not truly black in the way a shut down screen is black, just a turned on screen that shows #000000 on all pixels, basically. The computer doesn't respond to anything. I've tried turning it on using the power button too, but that didn't work either. The only possible thing is to hardware reset and boot up again. This is also desktop environment agnostic; in fact it happens even in the base Arch Linux shell before graphics are turned on at all.

I'm at a loss. Does anyone know what I should try?

1. Do you still have windows (3rd link below)
2. Can you reboot w/ ctrl+alt+del ?
3. Any errors in the system journal for the prev boot (sudo journalctl -b -1) ?

5. Please provide details on your HW (forementioned journal - errors or not, lspci, lsusb & lscpu)

Thanks. Seems like the microcode was the problem. While I had read about it before, but when I took a closer look, seems like I hadn't manage to configure it correctly. (In case someone finds this by Google in the future or whatever, ctrl+alt+del did in fact manage to reboot the computer. No Windows installed left. Some errors in the journal, but most were just complaining about what I think is my USB stick that was plugged in to the computer while the journal was recorded)

I'll mark this as solved.
