"stack smashing detected" when trying to run Skyrim through Proton

I've installed Steam through the AUR package, as shown on the wiki page as well as all the 32-bit libraries for my graphics card. I proceeded to enable Steam Play (with Proton 6.3-6) and tried running Skyrim. It wouldn't open; so I opened Steam through the terminal and tried again. Two things caught my eyes attention. The first one was the presence of both

ERROR: ld.so: object '/home/bj33/.local/share/Steam/ubuntu12_32/gameoverlayrenderer.so' from LD_PRELOAD cannot be preloaded (wrong ELF class: ELFCLASS32): ignored.

and

ERROR: ld.so: object '/home/bj33/.local/share/Steam/ubuntu12_64/gameoverlayrenderer.so' from LD_PRELOAD cannot be preloaded (wrong ELF class: ELFCLASS64): ignored.

The wiki mentions that it is normal for the first one to occur, but both?
The second thing, and the one that I think will be the hardest to find the cause is

*** stack smashing detected ***: terminated

as I see it.
The log from the moment I open the game until the moment it no longer tries to open it:

I'm not sure about the last line, but better safe than sorry, aye? What do you think could be the problem? Thank you all.
