thinkpad x230 undervolting or overclocking

currently running arch with cpupower and either shedutils or performance setting.

i was wondering if other people tried to undervolt or overclock their thinkpad.

i discovered c2ctool and i seem to be able to reduce the frequency down to 800mhz which doesnt seem to be available in default.

change the voltage multiplikator doesnt seem to show an effect. maybe the cpu takes less power.

powertop shows frequencies up to 3,3 ghz but i7z only shows frequencies upt to 3,1 ghz. does anybody know why?

Re: thinkpad x230 undervolting or overclocking

in turbostat only one core is shown to work under 3300mhz.
looks like you can play around with msr a lot. changing tdp and much more
