official GNU TeXmacs build performs better than the ArchLinux build

I have tried two versions of GNU TeXmacs recently, and following is a comparison:

I wonder why the office build is better on high resolution display ?

Re: official GNU TeXmacs build performs better than the ArchLinux build

"Performs"…

The archbuild links dynimc Qt which will adhere to your local $QT_QPA_PLATFORMTHEME (KDE?) and texmacs can't deal w/ a couple of the things (apparently it's not HiDPI capable and it doesn't seem to like the used QStyle either)

Try unsetting QT_QPA_PLATFORMTHEME and please fix your subject and post to actually reflect your issue and not some misleading "performance" issue that ppl. have to decypher by looking at some blog post.

Re: official GNU TeXmacs build performs better than the ArchLinux build

I have the same issue. I think it somehow is linked with the Qt distribution in Arch Linux, and there is an upstream issue https://savannah.gnu.org/bugs/?func=det … m_id=60408 .

Ubuntu does not have this issue and Qt under Wayland in Arch works fine.

It appears that the officially packaged version is using Qt 4 and linked the Qt statically.
