Basically I have this issue, since forever: https://youtrack.jetbrains.com/issue/JBR-917 . It doesn't seem to be dependent on any hardware. I'm pretty sure that a lot of people here are using IntelliJ Idea, and faced this issue at some point.
Is there any proven way of making fonts look correct on JRE bundled with the IDE?
I tried options from https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/Java_R … ment_fonts , but none of them worked for me. I didn't give "OpenJDK patch" a try, because it's not available for JDK11, and that's the required Java version for IntelliJ currently.
I feel like this has to be a widespread issue, because I had it after every hardware update, I never could find a way of fixing it, and it makes IntelliJ Idea more and more unusable on Arch as time goes by. In recent IntelliJ version, "Parameter Info" popups don't work, if I use Oracle's Java with correctly working fonts. And the fonts with bundled JRE are SO BAD that I pretty much accepted not having this "Parameter Info" feature.
Did anyone find a way of sorting this out?
