keychron k3 v2 layout using arch and kde

Hello,

my setup is a PC and a laptop both running arch + kde.

so.. the k3 is a 75% (no numeric keys and more compact layout of what left) keyboard that has hardware toggle to match windows and mac.

my physical keys order from left to right are: ctrl / option / command (classic mac layout) and keyboard hardware model is set to generic 101 keys in kde keyboard settings, and I'm connected via Bluetooth.

after some tinkering I've found that I can have the most functionality / comfort when it is set to windows with multimedia keys on instead of the f keys (fn+x+l for 4 seconds)

in this state:
all media keys (play, pause, lights control) work including the snapshot and del keys.
I end programs using ctrl + q as the normal alt + f4
command + e open new dolphin file manager
command + d shows the desktop
toggle last application with f3
to open yakauke terminal I use fn + f12

I've remapped f4 to do multitask view (mission control on a mac) to kde's ctrl + f9

Thanks,
Rod

People participating in this forum helped me with just about all my arch / Linux questions past year and I would like to give some of my experience back smile
