Audio skipping

Hello,

I made an arch installation in my new desktop. I'm using pulseaudio for sound, and output is through my Nvidia's rtx 3080 ti Displayport. Audio sounds crystal clear, but skips happen every 20 seconds to 2 minutes approx. Other audio outputs don't seem to have this problem. I followed the wiki for PulseAudio/Troubleshooting#Glitches,_skips_or_crackling but I had no luck.

I come here in case anybody knows about other possible causes for the problem. Please, ask for any necessary information or log.

Thanks.

Re: Audio skipping

Do you have both pipewire-pulse and pulseaudio installed? I remember having had some problems when both were installed, so removed pulseaudio, and no problems then.

Re: Audio skipping

I only had pulseaudio, but I replaced it with pipewire-pulse and the issue persists.

Re: Audio skipping

Something general to test would be disabling snd_hda_intel's powersaving via e.g.

options snd_hda_intel power_save=0

in a /etc/modprobe.d/disablePowerSaving.conf

Re: Audio skipping

No luck either. Perhaps it may be something to do with nvidia's driver on some of their latest hardware? No idea if that even makes sense.
