I am using kde plasma 5.22.5. After some time from initial startup-boot, when screen goes to lock or waking up from hibernate, sleep-suspend, whatever. I can not log in via my password. However, when I reboot my system, I can log in again. It is really annoying because last time when this happened, I lost all my sessions. How can I solve this ?

The lock screen isn't SDDM but kscreenlock what does can not log in via my password mean exactly? Does the box not accept input does it accept input but is always the wrong password? Are your keyboard settings correct? You should generally be able to switch to a VT and log in there and manually unlock the session with loginctl unlock-session but maybe post a journal excerpt after such a failure to unlock.

I might have a similar problem.
The password text field does not display any characters as I enter my password
. What happens if you enter your password then switch to another virtual terminal and then back?
On my machine I’m actually logged in. and can continue working. Give that a try

The password input field accepts characters, however, it refuses my password even though I put in the correct one. After couple attempts, it blocks the input field too, I mean I still can put characters to input field, but I can not enter it.
