Firefox freezes on specific webpage

I can't remember Firefox ever freezing for me. But now it did.
Does everyone's Firefox freeze at this address? Or is it just me?

WARNING: Don't follow this link if you don't want Firefox to freeze:

w w w . h o u l e w e b . c o m / 2 0 0 5 _ 0 7 _ 0 1 _ i n t s h o t s a r c h i v e s . h t m l

I tried it first with my i486 compiled Firefox in Lowarch, and Firefox froze every time before showing anything. So I tried Dillo, and there's some java there, so it could be because of that.

I booted Real Arch, and tried with the old Firefox (I hadn't upgraded yet), and the same happened.

Then I upgraded, and tried with Firefox 2, and again it froze. I suppose it must be Java. I'd like to know if anyone knows why it happens, and if it happens to anyone else.

It have happened to me too. I was playing around with GTDTiddlyWiki which by the way was stored in my home directory. I was going to save some changes and got this dialog asking if I really wanted to do that since it could be seen as unsafe.

Without thinking a bit further I instinctively pressed deny, which result in Firefox freezing. Same result with Iceweasel. BTW GTDTiddlyWiki is using javascript to handle the wiki. I am not sure but the problem could be related to javascript.

I also tested your link and it made Firefox freeze om my system too.

tiddlywiki accesses and modifies files on the hard drive, which is why firefox says it's unsafe. By saying deny, you're stopping tiddlywiki from saving, and pretty much just breaking it.

Re: Firefox freezes on specific webpage

I tried to turn off java and javascript, and I uninstalled flashplugin.
It still freezes.
It seems to be a Firefox bug.

I know that TiddlyWiki needs access to my harddisk and by denying it through firefox it should stop running. In this case I was pressing deny and the result I got from it was that firefox freezed. In my mind a deny shouldn't take down the browser, just maybe show a dialog (or whatever) that indicates that TiddlyWiki stoped working. Freezing Firefox when pressing deny doesn't seem like a stable behavior.

By instinct in this case I meant that I was pressing the safer alternative because I was in a bit of hurry at the moment and a bit lazy to read.
