I installed plasma-desktop and sddm but when I log in I get this:
Photo: https://gitlab.com/devmaster64/images/- … G_1946.jpg
Following is my system config
CPU: Ryzen 9 3900X
RAM: 16GB
GPU: Nvidia GTX 950
GPU driver: nvidia-dkms 470.74
Screen resolution: 2560x1080 @ 144hz
Kernel: linux-zen 5.14.9
Bootloader: rEFInd
As you can see in the photo, only the region on the left responds. To fix this I have to reapply the screen resolution via nvidia-settings
This is the xorg log: https://pastebin.com/3HgDkyWh
I tried the wayland session and it works but that has other issues :')

Using config file: "/etc/X11/xorg.conf"Start by removing that file. Still a problem?
Edit, this why:
[ 2.598] (**) NVIDIA(0): Option "MetaModes" "DP-0: 2560x1080_144 +1920+0 {ForceCompositionPipeline=On, ForceFullCompositionPipeline=On}, HDMI-0: nvidia-auto-select +0+0 {ForceCompositionPipeline=On, ForceFullCompositionPipeline=On}"Last edited by seth (2021-10-09 15:45:51)

Yep that was the culprit. I should have caught that. I had more configs in xorg.conf.d folder.
