Laptop screen blinks after suspend/hibernation

Since 26th august I found, that my Acer ES15 laptop fails sometimes to correctly get back from suspend/hibernation. The screen blinks slowly and got the following messages to journal:

okt 08 09:04:32 Feynmann kernel: i915 0000:00:02.0: [drm] *ERROR* failed to enable link training
okt 08 09:04:32 Feynmann kernel: i915 0000:00:02.0: [drm] *ERROR* Failed to read DPCD register 0x92
okt 08 09:04:34 Feynmann kernel: i915 0000:00:02.0: [drm] *ERROR* Failed to write source OUI

The blink won't stop.  When I reboot the system in hope of getting the blink gone, the screen goes black with some weak backlight. This happens even before the EFI loader starts and remains. The system boots ready. (I hope. No error found in the journals). The screen remains black. After some rebooting the screen gets back to normal. I don't know, what is the cause, but hope this is a sw issue. Didn't find anything useful with the help of duckduckgo, so you are my last hope. What is ahppening?

Re: Laptop screen blinks after suspend/hibernation

Though I am currently running a different distro, I am having the exact same issue, right from the blinking/flashing down to the need to restart many times until it even gets to booting, also with an Acer laptop (TravelMate P446) ever since installing linux, so something seems to be misbehaving between linux and Acer.

Did you ever get anywhere with troubleshooting this further?
