Thinkpad X1 Carbon 9th: Hibernate on lid closed problems

Hey folks,

I have a SWAP partition and enabled hibernation. I activated hibernation via

cat /etc/systemd/logind.conf

:

[Login]
...
#UserStopDelaySec=10
HandlePowerKey=poweroff
#HandleSuspendKey=suspend
#HandleHibernateKey=hibernate
HandleLidSwitch=hibernate
#HandleLidSwitchExternalPower=suspend
...

What I expect to happen:
I close the lid and Arch hibernates and saves the state on the SWAP partition.

What is happening:
When I close the laptop lid, SOMETIMES it works, and every other time, it goes into hibernation but immediately boots back up. So the lid stays closed but boots up again.

How could I debug why Arch is booting up again when closing the Lid?

Don't have an answer but exact same thing is happening to me. Same setup, same problem.

I am not surprised -- you posted the original topic. If this is a sneaky way to bump your topic, please don't do that.
