i've noticed a lot of these dbus-daemons lately:
1144 ? Ss 0:00 /usr/bin/dbus-daemon --system
1602 tty1 S+ 0:00 dbus-launch --exit-with-session startxfce4
1603 ? Ss 0:00 /usr/bin/dbus-daemon --fork --print-pid 8 --print-address 6 --session
2372 ? Ss 0:00 /usr/bin/dbus-daemon --fork --print-pid 8 --print-address 6 --session
3519 ? Ss 0:00 /usr/bin/dbus-daemon --fork --print-pid 8 --print-address 6 --session
4436 ? Ss 0:00 /usr/bin/dbus-daemon --fork --print-pid 8 --print-address 6 --sessionis that normal? everything seems to be working okay, but i had to reboot this morning for the first time in a few weeks, and i noticed that when the system tried starting hal it [failed]. between the two issues, it seems like something might be wrong. how can i check to see if everything is running as it should be?

update: hal starts manually, so i guess i won't worry about it.
