[SOLVED] Youtube videos don't work 95% of the time

SOLVED: Pihole was on and was blocking googlevideo, which causes issues with youtube videos.

As the title says, youtube videos don't play back most of the time for me. This goes for all browsers (firefox, chromium, min, even embedded in discord)

I randomly seemed to have been able to fix it by synchronizing the time, but this only worked once, and it worked once after installing the libva-mesa-driver.
Now it's broken again for whatever reason. Twitter videos, soundcloud still work fine, and on the video test website, only mpeg4 is not working when youtube isn't (haven't checked when it is working)

I have an AMD IGPU and an NVIDIA dedicated GPU. I've not done nvidia-xconfig as that causes x to crash (if I run it without arguments, haven't tested with)
By the looks of it x (and firefox) default to the IGPU.

I'm using the zen kernel and the NVIDIA drivers are installed via nvidia-dkms

Don't work means what exactly?
Black video (do you have sound), browser crashes, the javascript player failing, …
Do you use any browser extensions (notably adblockers) and does it work™ without them?
Can you play videos w/ mpv+youtube-dl or youtube-viewer?

In other words: Don't work means what exactly?

Don't work means: The video just becomes a black box with a loading icon in it. It doesn't play anything (sound, video, ads)
For the browser extensions I have ublock origin (on firefox), but that doesn't seem to affect it.
I'll try with mpv+youtubedl

I don't have a VPN, not sure about firewall. Regular webbrowsing works fine (both ethernet and wifi)

I might have pihole enabled somewhere, I'll see if I can turn that off
Edit: Pihole was running, I've disabled it for my laptop, and now ytdl, mpv and regular youtube work.
I'll try it for a bit and mark this as solved if I don't encounter any further issues

Yep can confirm it was pihole. Turning pihole on/off caused/fixed the issue.
