[SOLVED] msmtp: /etc/msmtprc: input error

When I try to send mail with msmtp, following the arch wiki:

echo "hello there username." | msmtp -a default myvaildemailaddress@gmail.com

I get the following error:

msmtp: /etc/msmtprc: input error

Both ~/.msmtprc and /etc/msmtprc/.msmtprc contain the following (I know it is not safe, but let's get the basics down first):

# Set default values for all following accounts.
defaults
auth on
tls on
tls_trust_file /etc/ssl/certs/ca-certificates.crt
logfile ~/.msmtp.log

Also tried the pass field empty per a necro'd 10y/o arch thread, same difference.

Thanks for the inputs.

and /etc/aliases is filled according to arch wiki.

Re: [SOLVED] msmtp: /etc/msmtprc: input error

Issue was that my msmtprc file was at /etc/msmtprc/.msmtprc. Should be /etc/msmtprc.
