make my ipw3945 work

I follow the http://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Wir … up#ipw3945 wiki and intall ipw3945 and ipw3945d in order to make my wifi card work. I use iwconfig + ipconfig + dhcpd or edit the /etc/rc.conf (I tried the both).
I have the rigft DNS, IP, MASK, GATEWAY, essid.
The network I'm trying to connect is open so I don't need any wpa or wep.

And I can't go on the net or ping google.
What did I misse?
If it helps I can go on the net with an ubuntu livecd.

Re: make my ipw3945 work

I have the (somewhat) of the same problem and I'm not sure what the bug is. I can connect to my campus fine, but I can't connect to my router at home. Both use 128-bit WEP, both have SSID's hidden. Really strange (and very) annoying problem.

Re: make my ipw3945 work

I had similar problems. Finally I found out that i depended on the dhcp software.

I used knetworkmanager and wasn't able to connect all networks. Then I used to wifi-radar and everything is just fine. (both use different dhcp stuff...)...With another Laptop and ipw2100 I had no problems...

Maybe it's the same with you...try it out
And what's with /var/log/everything.log - all fine?

I tried wifi-radar and I also tried dhclient as dhcp client but it still doesn't work.
