Hi all,
I've had this laptop for two years now, and it has run essentially without problems until today. A few hours ago, my system slowed to a stop, so I restarted with the power button. The Dell logo stayed onscreen for a while, then pulled up a diagnostic memory scan utility. When it finished, it said that there was no hard drive detected (I think; possibly no bootable drive detected). Then it gave me the option to shut down. I did so, powered up the laptop, and now everything appears to work fine.
A more detailed breakdown: I upgraded protonmail-bridge only (I know, I know), which puts a go directory in my home directory. I deleted the go directory (which I usually do after installation), and the system immediately slowed down. My application windows stopped refreshing, though I could change workspaces. I restarted as above, watched the diagnostic, then restarted again. The startup was a bit slow, but once I did startx, everything worked (and continues to work) fine. I did a full upgrade of the system shortly afterward.
My question is: what should I do? Should I assume this was a fluke, or take further steps to diagnose the problem?
System is a Dell XPS 13 (9380), i7-8565U, 512GB M.2 PCIe NVMe Solid State Drive 8GB LPDDR3 2133MHz,
journal here. I believe the crash occurred after 11:38, and the successful boot was at 11:44.
Thanks in advance!

Hello. You can do a harddrive test with smartctl for starters to see if errors were logged and if your drive is healthy
