Geekbench score drop

(I think this post is appropriate for TGN).
For fun I occasionally do a geekbench, when there are important ucode or kernel updates for the CPU. I've seen that over a couple of years the result has slowly and steadily grown from 9400 to about 10000 (for the multithreaded CPU bench). Since a couple of weeks geekbench has collapsed to 8000, a value I never recorded before.
Removing the mitigations increases the score by about 100; with the kenel LTS (5.10.xx) the results do not change.
Does anyone know if there have been any changes in the kernel that could account for the drop in geekbench? Any suggestions on how I can investigate and check my system to find the cause?

AMD Ryzen 3700X; motherboard Asus TUF X570; graphics AMD RX 5700X; Arch Linux updated daily.
I'll try to post the dmesg, but I don't see anything wrong with it:
