[SOLVED] dwm gui scale unexpectedly turn big

i used dwm as my window manager for a while now and never had a really big issue. but, 2 days ago i turned on my laptop and suddenly the bar on top suddenly goes big. i fixed that with applying dwm bar height patch and some adjustment in config.h. but, when i open some apps the gui also goes big. i don't know what's the issue nor do i know how to start looking for the problem. can someone help me with this

Please search the forums before posting.
There are many recent threads about how X has recently fixed the scaling that has been broken for years.
