[SOLVED] Monitor keeps going dark

Hi guys,

so my Monitor, which is as Gigabyte G34WQC keeps going dark. It does it occassionaly, with no specific pattern (like watching a video or something). It seems though, or maybe it is just my perception, that this happens more often when I have multiple tabs with video (YT/Twitch) open. After going dark, the screen reappears after a second, showing me that it is connected to Display Port 1 and the current resolution.
The system keeps being responsive, so this is not a freeze.

This also happens on the LTS-kernel.
I'm using i3.
Latest nvidia drivers, no dkms, no nouveau.
My Graphics Card is a Nvidia GTX 1060.

It sadly don't know how to check

dmesg

or

journalctl

so it shows me valuable information.

You type them into an interactive shell and for "journalctl" probably need "sudo", https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/System … ss_as_user

It went away.
When I boot, I must not start firefox immediately. When I do, I think something in my .xinitrc snaps or does not get invoked (or gets invoked too early?).

So if I wait, my monitor keeps running like it is supposed to be.

If this is solved please mark it as such by editing the title in the first post. Also if you haven't done so it might be useful to set up the pacman hook mentioned on the nvidia page so you don't accidentally forget this on nvidia package updates.
