PCI Passthrough Only Works With LTS Kernel Now

Hello,

I have setup a Windows 10 VM with PCI Passthrough more or less the same way described in the ArchWiki page and after updating my computer to Linux Kernel 5.15.2 the Windows 10 VM seems to load but displays nothing but a black screen. I figured it was kernel related and I installed linux-vfio 5.15 through the AUR and the LTS kernel from the main repository to try both. The vfio kernel from the AUR didn't work but the LTS kernel does and Windows 10 now loads normally. Any idea what is causing this? Will an update fix it? I am on an older computer specs wise with an FX-8350 and a GTX 980 for my video card being passed through to the Windows 10 VM. Its not super important as the VM works with the LTS kernel so I have a working system but I wanted some thoughts on why this is happening. Can provide more details if needed.

Thanks for any feedback,
