Hi, I have an APU Ryzen 7 5700G. According to the "Timed Linux Kernel Compilation, v. 1.12.x" Phoronix Test Suite (openbenchmarking.org/test/pts/build-linux-kernel) my APU should give 88±9 seconds. But:
- Arch Linux (5.15.2.arch1-1, 5.14.16.arch1-1): ~120 seconds.
- Arch Linux with `linux-zen` package (5.15.2.zen1-1, 5.11.16.zen1-1): ~114 seconds.
- Ubuntu 21.10: ~110 seconds.
- Fedora 35-1.2: ~113 seconds.
- Debian 11.1.0 (5.10.0-9): 98--103 seconds.
- Debian 11.1.0 with unstable kernel (5.14.0-4): ~102 seconds.
Debian is almost within 88±9 but I haven't seen 88. What could be the reason? It is unlikely that this is trolling because I have not seen temperatures above 75 °C (temperature accordingly I could only look at the kernel 5.15).
P. S: I use `cpupower frequency-set -g performance` before running the test.
UPD: this situation is observed not only in this test (for an example in stockfish).
