ERROR: A failure occurred in build(). Trying to install yay-git

I'm trying to install yay-git, but I keep on getting the following error:

[jamar@arch yay-git]$ makepkg -si

I dont understand how to fix this, please help

failed to initialize build cache at /home/jamar/.cache/go-build: mkdir /home/jamar: permission denied

check your permissions

Thank you so much. I went into my home and made it changed the permissions
