Still new to Arch, but I've been glued to the wiki's regarding troubleshooting. I'm trying to get a Xbox Series S wired USB controller working with either xpad or xboxdrv. Steam identifies the controller as "Xbox One Controller." The controller input is received in configuration. The controller appears recognized, but games do not respond to it at all.
I'm trying to first confirm this isn't a driver issue with xpad or xboxdrv.
My output from running xboxdrv just reports no controller is found.
My logs from journal for xpad report:
xpad 3-4.2:1.0: xpad_irq_in - usb_submit_urb failed with result -19
Am I seeing anything kernel or config related here that I need to troubleshoot that might be causing games themselves in Steam to fail to connect the controllers? Or is this probably something Steam related since Steam sees the controller just fine?
ps. I understand:
-sudo pacman -Syu
-I've checked the wiki in detail on gamepads.
Solution: I deactivated xboxdrv as it didn't support that controller (as well as me not reading up that only one driver should be active at a time)
The issue was within Steam itself and not system related. To solve, change individual game settings in Steam Input to "forced on" and it was picked up just fine with no mapping errors.
