Gnome on Wayland w/ KDE installed - gnome apps don't have icons

I installed KDE on arch when setting up arch a few days ago and soon after installed gnome.

Since I installed gnome the icons for any gnome core applications aren't displaying when I'm using GNOME as my DE and instead I get the KDE breeze-dark icon for when there's no icon for the application. Icons for apps where KDE provides icons do show and I don't get the same issues when using KDE as my DE.

I removed and reinstalled gnome to no avail along with running "systemctl enable gdm.service" and received "File /etc/systemd/system/display-manager.service already exists and is a symlink to /usr/lib/systemd/system/sddm.service."

Any suggestions? I'm new to arch and out of ideas.

Reinstalling Arch fixed the issue, but any ideas if one didn't want to reinstall Arch completely?
