[Solved] What's the best way to disable/reassign Capslock?

Hello,

Maybe I just have fat fingers or bad motor function, but I'm hitting capslock all the time and I never really need it. So I basically want to get rid of it. I'd like to do it as "low level" as possible system-wise, because it's an issue in Grub as well (especially since my Grub login decided I get one try before it enters rescue mode, but that's another issue in itself). I'd also be very ok with changing it into e.g. crtl, because that's not intrusive and usually what I I try to hit anyway when I accidentally hit capslock. I guess I can create a custom keymap somehow?

TIA

That'll do, thanks.

OT: you don't happen to know how I can increase the number of password attempts for LUKS encryption, do you? Grub goes directly into rescue mode after one failed attempt and I'm just very clumsy...

Please open a new thread as that is a different subject.

No, it didn't "fix" anything. It just shifted the brokeness one space to the right. - jasonwryan
