Re: Cifs Unable to Mount Share

Does it allow you to login via ssh or telnet? (And from there look at/edit the samba config?)

It does not seem so... tried SSH and telnet on ports 22 and 23 respectively and get "Connection Refused".
I do not see in the device admin screen anyplace to activate SSH or telnet.

Guess I'll ask for a firmware update.
Wondering if you can point me to some text for v5.15.x that says it no longer supports ntlm?

Re: Cifs Unable to Mount Share

forgive me if i'm bumping too old of a thread here, but i came across this thread from an internet search this afternoon. in short, i believe the newer linux kernels have dropped support for the older smb v1 protocol. there was a patch posted somewhere that allows v1 support for newer kernels. i ended compiling my notes in a little readme on github for working with devices that still only support samba, smb v1 protocols.

leaving this here for future me :old_man:
