[Solved] Screen sharing with Zoom fails under Wayland/Gnome

Until somewhere mid November screen sharing under Wayland/Gnome was working well with Zoom. I have all listed optional dependencies installed. I didn't track down the exact package upgrades yet that broke things, but I suspect it might be related to:
* xdg-desktop-portal (1.10.0-1)
* xdg-desktop-portal-gtk (1.10.0-3)
* xdg-desktop-portal-gnome (41.1-1)

Downgrading those packages did not solve the problem (meaning removing xdg-desktop-portal-gnome since that package was introduced mid November).

I have replicated this on two systems, but have not been able to get it to work again yet. Has anyone by accident experienced something similar? Screen sharing under Xorg works, but I am trying to find a solution for Wayland.

Obviously, minutes after I post this I found the solution. The bug is reported here:

I suspect this would affect many Gnome Wayland users.

Another possible workaround might be to create a virtual webcam (v4l2loopback or akvcam) and modify this script to write the stream to that virtual camera. Then in zoom choose share a secondary camera or so.
