My 5.1 surround speaker has had an issue causing bass to be spiked near max. Rather than try to repair that issue for the time being, I want to know if there's a solution to nuke bass with a digital EQ exclusively from 1 line out of the 5.1 surround output.
I already have an analog mixing board with EQ control handing all front speakers.
My sound setup is analog out 5.1 over 3 TRS lines. I have loaded and configed pulseaudio to load a module for each part of the 5.1.
-Front L/R
-Rear L/R
-Center+LFE
GUI setup: KDE (K-mix)
I want to know if there's a digital EQ program that could nuke bass out on *just* the Rear L/R analog send.
if there isn't an EQ that controls individual sends, I could still just nuke bass universally and bring it up for alternative signals on my mixing board.
My side issue to this, for some odd reason, K-mix allows me to properly control each portion of the surround output just fine, but the Subwoofer control does zilch to turn my bass up or down.
I don't know if that means:
-that my 5.1 system is actually just 5.0 and just gets bass wrapped in from all channels (The 5.1 surround speaker system is a Logitec X-540)
-that pulseaudio is just sending the LFE effects out on each channel.
